We do both residential and commercial –
and in both cases our customers want us to “fix” their
computers, (as our name implies), and not
just “format” their hard drives to reinstall Windows, etc.,
Our customers want to keep their Windows Desk Top, themes,
favorites, e-mail, documents, etc., and even though the later
can be preserved – they still want to keep their PC exactly
the way it was before the problems began.
Note, that most of our customers can “restore” or “recover”
their system using the manufacturer’s software if needed.
Besides, there are already too many “format mills” in
business around the Valley where they just take the “easy”
way out by formatting and reinstalling – which is our last
option with the customer’s permission.
To conclude, in the field we only have so many options and
have to use our experience, knowledge, trouble shooting and diagnostic abilities
to solve problems on our feet without
always using “Google”
or some third party helping us.
We need Technicians that can analyze, diagnose, trouble-shoot and correct
problems in a limited amount of time and without formatting. |
